I just
setup my first version of Invision, and I cant get skins to work at all.
I dont get it, I have CHmoded every possible file, to the point they are
wide open. But I continue to get errors telling me I'm getting safe
mode errors. As well as telling me it could not read the CSS file.
Anyone have any ideas for me to try. Am I totally missing something?
Makes me feel like such a stooge, but I keep trying.

Yes worse
luck your server is in safe mode, you will need to either contact your
server provide for your host and ask them to turn safe mod of, or you will
have to manualy install the skins.

I will
plug a really great Safe Mode free server I have found. It offers
everything need for Invision including safe mode off. There is EXCELLENT
customer support and I have not had one complaint. The best bit is I only
pay $4 USD a month for all this and 50 MB of
space!!!

had to do the whole thing manual. thanks. As for servers, a buddy of
mine runs one. i get 200 meg for 5 bucks a month with 12 gig bandwith a
year. Couldnt pass it up:D

I get 400mb and 10 gigs of transfer for $7 usd :woot:

I know a host where you can get 300 mb web space 12 gb bw/month,
"unlimited" subdomains, ftp accounts, mail accounts, mysql databases,
ect... custom error pages and a lot more...
oops, it's $8
a month
and they have better plans for not much more!
On
one of there more exspensive plans ($45) you get 4 GB space, 80 GB bw
month, a lot of "unlimited" stuff(including domains), 2 name servers, 15

do you know about "overselling"
?
As soon as you start using full 12 or 80 Gb of the bandwidth ...
they will ask you to leave...
