Ok here is a PhotoShop question. I have been trying to make some new buttons. The ones that I made yesterday were great, but today I noticed that even though my font color is set to black, it is printing it as dark blue or dark gray :blink: I've set everything that I can think of correctly and there is only two layers, the button, and the font.
What could be causing this?

Have you made sure when hignighting the text that the top colour is set, as in pic below.
Also that your screen icn,icc and photoshop colour settings are the same.
goto your deplay properties on your computer
Then settings
Advandce
Then colour management
Click add there and select a profile, i use adobergb1998
Once your screen is set then goto photoshopo then edit menu, you see colour settings, make sure your rgb setting at top is the same profile that way what you see is what you get.
Hope this helps.

Actually that's what I did the last time, but I couldn't find adobergb1998 :D
Did you guys change the font here for the forum? Everything seems smaller and a little bit blurry, or maybe I just need more coffee :)

OH FUDGE!!! :(
I can't use the adobergb1998 setting :o Remember when I asked if you had changed the font here at the forum? Well it turns out that changing the profile DOESN'T just change the color settings, it also changes the internet font style settings, and I don't see anyway to get around it :cry:
That's why all of the fonts looks so blurry. :(

try using a different profile, as long as the profile for your monitor matches the profile in photoshop you should be ok, its just that when you monitor is set as one colour and photoshop is set as another you will get colour difference from looking and printing and so on.

I set everything back to where it was originally, but there is no change.
Oddly enough it seems that just the IB-X skin seems to be effected by it :cry:

Man damn strange, i know alot of the images have a copyright printed into them, so we can in a event show they are our artwork. Maybe this is causing the problem then.

Yeah it's just this forum and my forum (lucky me) that has the problems (both IB-X). If I go someplace else on the net my original font shows up. To make matters even more strange, this just started happening around the time that I changed the profile for the Photoshop color (see post above). I have since changed everything back to where they were before but that didn't help. All I know is it sure is annoying. This font that I see is ugly and hard to read. I wonder if it has anything to do with those fonts that I installed the other day? Kinda makes sense but then why would they effect ONLY IB-X? :o

Whoo Hoo I figured it out, and I'm sooo happy :D The problem (in a word) was the IB-X stylesheet.
It should have read
{ font-family: Verdana, Arial; font-size: 8pt; }
But instead it read
{ font-family: Lucida Grande, Verdana; font-size: 8pt; }
<span style='font-size:12pt;line-height:100%'>
I never had Lucinda Grande installed until the other day, so it always defaulted to the normal (here second choice) Verdana. Then when I did install the Lucida Grande it took over as the first font to display.
I simply changed the style sheet and now all is clear and ledgeable again :D
