I've been having some PC problems. When I leave my pc unitended for 10 min(thats when my monitor goes into standbye) my pc usually freezes. On rare occasions Im able to not make it freeze by kicking the monitor out of standbye. I have standby turned off on my pc but still can't avoid the crash. I run Win XP on Athlon 2100.
Thanx,
Adam

There is a way to do this without getting the service packs............
Just go into the "Control Panel" then go to "Appearence and Themes".
Click on "Choose a Screen Saver". Next go down to the "Monitor Power" section below the screen saver chooser and click the "Power" button. After clicking that button you will see a pull-down menu that on default will say "Home/Office Desk" You will want to change that to "Presentation" and click apply then ok at the bottom of the screen. Now your screen will not turn off at all after being idle for any amount off time. :nbsdesignz:

Yep tru. but if do still you want your monitor to turn off after a certain amount of time, you could try this tweak i got from regedit.com instead of turning off the power options
