Yes it was, by me, I closed it as for one was bring alot of unrelated posts to it, and the way you asked for your skin.

May I point out all skins are made FREE and from members, All our staff do this free, we do not pay them, and they do this out of the goodness of there own heart.

To be honest the way you made your request was not in the form of a request post.

Also as stated in forum rules, any posts that are bumped will be removed.

In addition, as you said you bumped it a few times

why donĖt u guys use vb styled skins and make something like vb skins.com I havenĖt seen more than 5 good skins here and the skins there are so great . If u guys even pushed hard iĖm sure u guys could make something great

I havenĖt seen more than 5 good skins = each to there own, like I said member and staff do this for free, and alot of new people have submitted, so I would say they have feelings.

yeah but the way you said it will automatically make people think you are telling them what they spent ages doing was not worth bothering about.

people have their own tastes and create things they like and share it with other people. why dont you create something you like and share it with us and see what we think.

Then I guess that you don't need one. I too have seen some really killer skins out there.......mainly for Vbulletin, but then again most of the really good ones for that board have to be purchased for the right to use it (lemme see, I buy the forum license then I have to buy a skin to get a really cool one....lol).

Some of our skin in our database may seem bland to you, but just remember that these skins are not custom tailored to ones specific site. We have to make a public skin so that the downloader can hopefully personalise it to his/her site(s) without too much trouble or elbow grease. A skin looks much better with a crankin' logo and/or header image, but since we are skinning knowing that the user will want to substitute one of their own we don't really bother too much with that.

With a custom skin however, all the doors are open to the skinner.....he may or may not have a home site scheme to work with; also the requestor can decide if he wants a fixed-width or a spanning forum style. All the graphics can then be tailored to the sites needs, and the header/logo image can be finalized. The skinner doesn't have to worry about who else will download this, so he can go buck wild with templates, on-site alternate image folders and/or .css.

Plus time.......(what the hell, I'll use two of mine as examples.) My skin altered forum (v1.1.2, dark) is a fairly simple skin with a simple color scheme and is very customizable to ones site needs. It only took me like a day or two to create it as well.
Then there are skins like AquaTech (Ikon skins, dark), in which took 2+ weeks to complete. Almost every template has been reconstructed and/or replaced. This monster took a lot out of me and can be a bandwidth and resource eater (but it sure looks sweet).

Most of us have other lives and aren't able to skin as much as we would like to. But we all have a love for skinning........and what the hey we share our love for free. We care about NBS members alot and we like to show them by offering custom skins every now and then. So please do not come here to a free site that offers free work and free support (unlike some others now hehe) and make negative comments (in a free custom skin request forum? Boy that makes me want to skin for you now lol). You may not have meant it to sound that way but there is a "preview post" button.

No love lost, just judge your words a little more carefully next time.

ok im gonna reword this a bit as i was thinking about it ... sory my english is a bit poor and i seem to say the wrong things in sentences.. what i mean is u guys make al ot of skins i come here often and am glad i know u guys have well over 5 great skins to other people and me too :D but what i really ment not to say it that way as i never reread it .. sorry its my fault i have no disrepsect towards ur guys and encourage u guys to keep on making skins ~.^.. but i am really looking for a professional skin... i can make gfx but skinning is a thing new to me.
Hopefully some skinner read my request and will make an attempt to make a skin like ravio skin or logi skin :)
