The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was 'me@rachelcarlyle.com'. Subject 'Testin babe', Account: 'me', Server: 'mail.rachelcarlyle.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '452 Space shortage, please try later', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 452, Error Number: 0x800CCC78

Last night it seemed to work ok, and I got a mail out..... but today it's mucking up again, and I'm at my wits end. I have no idea what it means by space shortage..... my puter's fine...... it's a nolimit account...... *sigh* :( I've searched all over the net, including the M/Soft pages, and found nothing.....

If anyone has any suggestions, they'd be gratefully received.

*goes off to stuff face*

If this is in the wrong place, please move it, thanks.

Some info I found:

Reserved Disk Space
You can specify a minimum amount of disk space that will remain unused for the message queue. If the minimum threshold is reached, the server will temporarily reject all messages until disk space is freed. The server returns an error (452) notifying the client of a temporary disk space shortage and asking the client to resend the message at a later time.

It appears that the host will have to make some changes in settings. Here is how:

To reserve free disk space, go to the SMTP Accept window:

In the Messaging Server Console, select the Configuration tab.

Open the Services folder.

Click SMTP. The SMTP configuration tabs appear in the right pane.

Click Accept. The SMTP Accept window appears.

In the "Minimum free disk space" field, specify a number.

From the pull-down menu beside the field, specify Kbytes or Mbytes.

Click Save.

Probably something your host needs to take care of.

maybe the recipient's (reciever's) email box is full?
