Im trying to start up a skinning site, where people can come and download skins from on a fast server, like this one.
What i am asking is if the members here who submitted skins mind if i host them aswell.
If you dont want me to, please give me the names of your skins and i will not host them.
Please be easy, im trying to help the Invision Board Community out.

Maybe change that way, as alot of people do not come that often.
If people would like there skins hosted on your site then please then post here. I all for helping the community hence this forum, but if people like to submit there work better they say yes here than not replys from them and they don't come chaseing you, for hosting without there permission as alot only submit to us, i not want you to start of on a bad note.
I know how that is can take weeks of correcting to make them know you mean well.
So please post here in you are allowing your skins to be hosted only.... Thanks and good luck :)

Yeh its a good idea (Same one M3NF, AristiA and I had :P) but you gotta be careful. Currently there are two main Invision skinning sites I know of being IBskins and IBFskinned. People use either one for different reasons and we cannot change that. Some people will never use us or will always use us... We appreciate our members and are glad that we are able to help them with our community and skins. Please keep in mind that not long after we started so did another skinning site called IBFskins.net. Unfortunately, as far as I know, considering their link does not work, they collapsed. Please correct me if this is untrue and its server issues or whatever. You just gotta be careful mate. To get visited you have to either equal or beat the service, skins and community of the existing skinning sites otherwise you don't have much chance. If you feel you can do this or if you just want to try I hope you do well but it ain't going to be easy.

Not only this, but you have totally copied or database to the exclusion of our skins!
Not impressed. And we shall now contact our skinners to make them aware.
Something you could have taken the time to do yourself.

I did not give you permission. I was talking about you needing to be pretty good to get used...

No where did I say "Oh please take my skins and put them in your database as I do not want to suppourt the forum I am Team Leader of but yours... the one with 4 members". Needless to say I am very angered by what you have done with my skins and the other artists.
I hope you will be mature and delete skins not made by your or your members ASAP.

You do NOT have permission to put my skins here or make them available for download. I am horrified to find everyone of my publically released skins in someone else's database. One i did not copy your database, myne is pretty much different. All im trying to do is start a Skinning website and if you guys do not want to support that, they fine, dont go there.
I was asked not to put up skins by IBFSkinned, and since M3NF helped me out, i respect that.
Now if you all are going to stick to your attitudes, then fine, i dont care.

GRRRRR, Yet again I go to pick up my sister for the day and everything kicks off while im not about!!!!!
Just incase this sort of thing happens again, My skins are sole property of Myself & IBFskinned, which is why it says Skin by Chris for IBFskinned.
They are made downloadable to the public By IBFskinned only, I dont have any on my board for download I solely Submit them to here for download & I wish to keep it that way.
I know I dont have to say this really as M3NF & AristiA already know this but I wanted to put my two penneth worth in LOL

Nice to know the other stuff Chris. Recently browsing on ibfskins I saw quite a few skins from our database that the author had submitted to both but I was amazed how many people had only submitted them here. I think they have 27 skins and we are approaching 50!

I havent been over to ibfskins.
I was made so welcome when I first came here, I have stuck with it, also now being made a moderator also. think that shows where my loyalties are held. :D

funny to see that rikki has "proudly offering over 60 skins for download"
half of them are for 1.0.1, Its great that they still supply 1.0.1 skins :) cos some ppl don't want to upgrade...or cant.

So far rikki has 27 skins for 1.1 and 35 for 1.0.1 thou alot of the 1.1 we also have the same skins, thou to say he could be only putting up some, as i know someone submitted a skins there are its still not up on his board yet, thats over a month ago now, so maybe he being selective to what he adds to the collection maybe.

Perhaps he tests his too! Making sure that all skins available are fully working. I not sure. But it could be a reason.
When we first started skinning, we submitted our osx to his site. In the submit form it said how he checks them first, i cant remember if it was to make sure they were suitable or to a certain standard.
Or perhaps he's just been real busy doing his own skin. It is pretty sweet. Looks like its still in progress.
