View Full Version : This A Rant? Yeah I Guess It Is!

Well after trying so many differant browsers over the past few weeks I was starting to think that I was going to be stuck with stupid slow and slugish IE till the day I died.
But wait! I remembered another browser that is mainly used on linux.
So I move on over to their web site and have a looksee at what I could see.
I saw they had another version (just new) of their browser, so I thought.. yeah.. give it a crack chap!
Wow.. it is FAST.. normaly when I come here IE sits for ages and I am confronted with a white page and that STUPID DAM spinning E. (man I HATE that.)
With the new browser it was zooom flash and page loaded (remember this is the first load for this browser so nothing cauched), and the page was loaded in a flash.
So I thought.. yeah, this is a goodin' , and I am keeping this and ditching old slug bucket IE.
Now you have read all that, the browser I am talking about is Mozilla Firebird. She is a rocket that is for sure. I am also now downloading there email client as well.

I glad you got something that flashes now :P but i cant help but stay with ie myself :) just hate having more crap installed on my computer than is needed. I do dislike it thou, is so slow and is a pain, but i am so used to it i find it hard to get used to something new.

I was the same.. but Mozilla rocks.. and you don't need to fill your machine with crap.. you are just replacing one for the other, IE: install mozilla and uninstall junkie old IE.
I'm using as default now - to teach myself good html habits. I think it's very nice and it has the potential to compete with Internet Explorer in the future :)

Well it was voted best browser for 2003 by PC World Magazine, so that has to say something ah.

Yer, i hate IE as well, i do tend to use it a bit, but i normally Use Opera, gr8 browser is that

yeah tis cool. Only problem I have found with it to date is that when you go out and buy expesive programs that are (one the box it says) 'Snaps onto your default browser'. But alas it did not. As Mozilla is my default browser and it snapped onto IE. Guess what is going back tomorrow.
Umm.. while in rants.. why is NBS so slow this morning?

IE was passed by AGES ago. Even Opera is better, IMO. I'm completely with you on Mozilla...I use Firebird on all the Winblowz b0x3n, and Mozilla 1.2.1 on my *nix b0x3n.
IE always has been crap, the only time it was good is when there were no other browsers around :)

i use MYIE2 the only reason is when i try viewing any page in opera it screws up on me lol.
ive totally gone off of IE as it gets too slow and has a few security holes that viruses tend to get through easier.

i'm using the full blown Mozzila, and i found it to be very fast on sites that use a lot of gfx, 3 maybe 4x faster than IE (spit), just a side line, i was reading that Billy Gates is trying to of load windows for free but is being stopped my all his share holders.........true......he wants to make it free like linux, but they wont let him.....

There is something better then FireBird..even thru i like Firebird..there is something better and that is Opera..

whats that other browser Linux uses? Konquer or something?

oh rite...Konqueror...too bad i cant get it for windows :(
