We are now spending a little time adding some mod and customising our forum.

So far we have added the skin selector to the main skins, so you no longer need to go to my controls to change skin, this also is great for guests to see the skins working before they download.

We have added some new mods to the acp for us to save time, and help us change items, like member numbers.

We added a online/offline within the posts(next to your name in post) so you can see if people are online.

We have change the name of people of the forum, in the stats at bottom of forum, we not longer habe the name , guests, member, anonamus, and we are now using Nosing around, IBFS'ers Hiding Members , to cheers it up.

We have hidden the calendar icon and birthday icons on the stats at bottom when no events are there, as it makes it tidier and more noticeable when there is a event is shown.

also the my assitant we have changed a little, we have changed it so you can open it and it will display with a refresh of 1 minutes any new posts, also you can now close the main window to forum down and just leave the assitant window open and make it smaller and use that to then goto back to tyhe forum when you see new posts showing on it, this does not happen with the default one :) which is great for staff as they can now close the main forum and just have a msall wondow on the assitant showing to see when new post have come withour manual refreshing. i like making space, need it for when ya working can hide it away more :P In future skins will will use this as a more effective use as i feel the standard one is never used, but we will make it more usefully for mainly staff and admin so they can do there jobs better.

Also we have removed the old links half way down forum that said.... The moderating team | Today's active topics | Today's top 10 posters | Overall top 10 posters

And move the team upto the nav bar, again makes forum cleaner.

And we have remove from 99% skins the skin by logo on our forum only to again tidy it up.

If you have any mods you personal like installed please post here to inform us. Thanks again and we be updating more over this xmas, as we not planning on skin releases till after xmas for ourself. :(

Let us also know what you think so far :) is it better or worse ?

How many use the mark all post read and the delete coockie from this board links now at bottom, as if not used we may move them to :)

One thing i plan to change is the help files that are on here, i planning on deleteing them all and making them used for help for skinning and not invision, so again its more personal to our site, can then add links to difference sections from there.

Good idea ?

Ok i have started this project now, have a look at the help files and let me know what you think.

I love this idea mat,

Makes the forums more your own.
There are so many invision forums about and no-one that I know uses the help files that are there anyway, so making them your own is a great idea.

Got to admit, I like the changes. They look good and really tidy things up. And personalizing the help files is great idea. I'm hoping you'll keep adding to them, then maybe some of us might begin to get nearly as good at skinning as you are. :)

I do sometimes use the "mark all posts read" link, but not the other one. :)
