How Do I Get Rid Of This?

I created this images for a moderator and wanted to adjust the image a little

It's a square image and on my boards you can tell that it's a block image due to the bg color.

Can I just make letters the image....hard to explain this link will explain it better than I can

See the White in the Texas Lineworker Signature (http://www.line-man.com/forums/index.php?&act=ST&f=32&t=90) I'd like to remove it and make it clear if possible

Am I dreaming?

what are you using to create this image as i would recommend Photoshop as they have the option to remove the white background and have it as transparent :)

yup, just got photoshop. I went in and noticed that maybe the transparency would be best prior to adding the fltering effects.

Where can I find the transparent option? it's not a color option is it?

Well first things first........I'm pretty sure jpg's (jpegs) can't have transparency.........

Best is to recreate it or if you created a psd is to save it as a .gif file

as Aj was saying if you created it in photoshop open the psd and remove the background (white) then save for web and it will save as a gif.
