Midnight metal help please

Hi

After installing it via Admin CP and selecting it as an user, I
only get a blank screen when looking at the Threads Overview or whatever.
Only UserCP an such I can view with the new skin. Does anybody know a
solution?

Are you using
the portal? if so, don't forget to add the skin_site to the relevant
folder for that skin :)

We came across
that one. It seems to be working ok for the others so perhaps not a
problem with the skin itself, please reply here if that doesn't solve
the problem since we have our team watch this section so we can give
support asap :)

running 1.1? this is baffling me. Not sure what would cause this error,
but i shall attempt to find out.

Yes I am running 1.1 Beta 2....and it is not working on two of my boards
;)

Message Center work etc etc. But if
I load a page with a post oder something similar, the page stays
blank....I tried it right now with a fresh install!

mmm. I
installed on to my test forums and it works fine. But i can suggest going
to your ACP and then skins/templates. Then manage skin sets. and get
midnight metal to use your invisionboard template set. We've had probs
getting the logo to go in the center before now and it was the template
that did it. (we fixed that) but maybe it is affecting your setup somehow.


If that doesn't work ill have a re-think.

In the
admincp, goto manage template sets, and on the bottom select the
midnight metal skin then hit run tool that tool has fixed many
strange problems i have had in the past. and getting a blank page is
strange.

have a Q. and since this thread is here i will ask it in this
one.

I'm not sure why, but I don't have the Skin .tar file
in the "Import Skin Archive Manager" there is nothing in there and I do
have it in the right folder 'archive_in' directory.

Got any
ideas?

Yes main
reason is that the file you d/l from us is a zip file you will need to
exspand that first.
But as for other reason maybe server running in
save mode. Also its been know that on upgrades on beta 2 the achive in
folder is not there, and you manual need to do it, if this happen maybe
its spelt wrong.

Ok.. I checked my server (host) and safe mod is off.
Also checked the
'archive_in' folder and is spelt right.
and the file in the
'archive_in' folder is the '.tar file'.
I will try a
few more things...

the only
other thing is the name of the file, make sure that it starts with set.
the skin you have should be "set-MidnightMetal" but thats all i can
think that could stop it :(

down to safe mode on. well good luck.

Alright
the reason this is caused as been touched on by M3NF. Basically the import
skins section scans all the files in 'archive_in' and only
displays ones starting with 'set-'. So to get them to display you
must change the name to:
set-skinname.tar

thanks for helping guys.. But I still never got it to show up.. So i did
the skin by hand and i'm just tweaking the colors abit.

I have
one Q. ( if this mite not be the right place to post it sry) but where is
the line of code that tell the board what icons to use for the diffrent
"Board Statistics" (b-day, Cal all thouse) ??? I want each one to have
it's own icon.
