Wep Problems

Ok, Now that my switch/networking prob is fixed, on to WEP...
When I configured WEP on the pc downstairs i entered the long code to get me on. My problem is that Every 5-6 mins my pc seems to disconnect from the net (not the usual dissing that hapens every few mins, then it relogs me on this only takes 3-4 secs.)
But it wont ReLog back on, I have to do it manually and its usually a huge --- hassle...
Since 128bit WEP didn't work, I went to 64. Nope, Still no change. Currently WEP is off.

I cofigured the router to let only My (Slave), and the other junky pc (DSPC1)s MAC Addresses connect to the net,and to eachother.

I really wanna be able to connect to the DSPC1 and transfer files (Currently it lets me do this, but just opening up ONE EMPTY folder takes forever)
Usually it wont let me access any of the folders (On DSPC1 I set the folder permissions for the whole C drive so it can be accessed.)

I also wanna be able to somehow print from my laptop.
The HP all-in one is hooked up to the downstairs pc Via USB...
IS it possible to send print requests to the printer via DSPC1???

Since I only let my houses compters MAC addresses connec to the net , and Network Is this Safe??? My wireless range isnt that good but its good for me my neighbor might be able to get access but i got some programs that monitor and record other PCs activity (I dont mind sharing access But I wouldnt allow Kazaa and or other things like that) (THANKS D-TIP for the program :-p )

You can set it up as a shared printer.

* Heres how, goto Control panel and choose the printers & faxes icon on the laptop or computer where the printer is connected..

* Choose the printer if listed and right click on it.

* Click on the option 'Sharing'

* Under the tab, Sharing, choose the option "Share this printer' once you have done that, it show a name for the shared printer in the box below.

* Click the apply button and restart the laptop first, then the other PC's after the laptop is fully booted up.

* Now goto one of the other PCs and choose the option 'My Network Places' and on the left pane, choose Printers and Faxes. If the setup worked, then the printer shared would show a hand icon under it.

** Now for the printing part, open up a document or word pad and choose the option to PRINT, but instead of using the default printer, choose the one that is shared and click OK. If everything works, the shared printer will print out the document and not the printer set as default for the system you are currently on.

GGAAAHHHH My net didnt work all yesterday!!!
The board seems dead w/o me :-p

I dont know whats happening it jus dies out.... My network still works i transfered a linux cd to the Downstairs PC.
I try everything unplugging everything restarting everything...
I don't have the time to call tech support bc out of the 7+ times I've called 6 of those I've been on hold for over an hour and 1/2 and the stupid guy STILL didn't know how to solve the problem...(Really the tech support guys can't even fix a simple problem...)

I bought the modem in 2k2 and the router in early 2k3
I'll try to complain to MetroCast.
