How do you pick specific words that could be used on a forum,and have links attached to these words?
So that every time a certain word is typed by a member, for example "forum" it has a link attached to that word?
I have seen it on many forums. I was wondering if anybody knew how it was done?

This is very hard to explain.
I want to make it so every time a poster types in a certain word or words,(predetermained words) that word in theit post becomes is a link back to my forum?
For example. I have a wrestling forum. The word "wrestling" is used quite often on the forum. I want to make it so every time a member types the word "wrestling", the word becomes a link back to my forum url.. I know this can be done on invision boards because I have seen it on a few forums. It's just hard to explain.
I will give you an example. I hope the owner doesn't mind. ;)

Go to that forum. You will see certain words in the members posts that are red. These words redirect back to the forum URL.
i tihnk you would have to use arrays in the post_new_post.php, post_q_reply_post.php, and post_reply_post.php.

Ohh...i c what u mean...
Its the txt 2 word mod available at ibplanet...i remember seeing this...
never used it before but i know if u type Matt for example it will link to my profile or u type Ed and it will link to Ed's profile
hmm will try to find that one.. I notice he is using 1.2

and lucky for him it is for 1.2 :)
hmm , i found a bunch but i couldnt tell which one he would need to run on his forum.

Can this be installed on a 1.3 board? And, can it be installed via cpanel?
No this mod cannot be installed through cpanel. Only the basic BB system can be installed through cpanel. Sorry. this mod has to be installed manually...

as Ed said to put this mod on all files will have to be modded manually and another thing this mod will probably not work with 1.3 you will have to check with the mod author.

Just check IBPlanet, and it isnt for 1.3...contact the author if u want it for 1.3

I have this mod installed on a V1.3 and it works fine i had to change a couple of sections but that was all if you want a copy of the changed files let me know and i will ask the author if i is ok to hand them out
