I am fuming! My host decided to suspend my account on the bassis of the domain name. Those who know me and the site know that Spammers Paradise has nothing to do with email or newsgroup spamming or spamming other sites for that matter, We only spam ourselves. Instead of typing everything out, you can see what is going on here: http://www.ntfs.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1716

that is total and utter BS. I for one know there is no illegal type of spamming going on there or anywhere else of your forum for that matter. I think they are just looking for someone to blame for their crappy servers, and for some reason you have seemed to be convenient for them.

Yep, too convenient with a domain name like I have. Still waiting on an email...

tell them before making accusations you want proof that any volume of emails in or out that could cause this downtime or to class you as a spammer. All logs should show what goes in and what goes out.

no host likes bad feedback so im sure they will resolve it ;)

From the email I recieved from the admin, they are saying that they don't know why but my site or someone attacking my site was taking down the server. First they say we were spamming, then they tell me to contact billing, then they send me the email. There seems to be no communication between their support staff. Nobody had any clue to what was going on or why. The host has moved the site to a different server. Now waiting on the DNS to propogate. They are suggesting that I should look into a dedicated server.

This is totally unreal, this is no way for a host to behave. I cant believe they have done this. Such a let down to us all this is. I just dont get how they can say what they have. All due to a domain name.

why should you look into a dedicated server its not your fault that someone screwed up their server.

there's your answer right there...........
you run a succesful forum, now there thinking is this......busy forum? doesn't want it shut down so if we close it saying "what ever they said" he will kick up fuss, we then offer him a dedicated server, he will take it cos he wants his forum to stay up, (he he he) rubs hand together, more money for us, (he he he)

am i being a bit synical..........

cos i see no other reason why this should happen.....

So far so good on the other server. DNS is propogating quickly. I am still shopping for dedicated. Still haven't made up my mind yet. I have a few things on the back burner ready to go which will make the site busier. Dedicated might be the best way to go. ;)

i must say it is handy having a dedicated ;)

i have one at BurstNET/Nocster and must say its been very reliable for me so far and support has been excellent. I had one of the servers go down yesterday and i went to contact them to restart it but within minutes they had already done it without me even getting a chance to give em my details for it lol

That's really a pile of bull. Glad your getting it sorted.

You might wanna try Host Gator (http://www.hostgator.com). I'm interested in their resellers, but their dedicated deals look good.
