For
this tutorial I will assume that you just installed IB, and that you have
no other skins but the IB default skin.

Will walk thru installing
the BlueGel Skin.

You have downloaded the skin you like, go ahead
and unzip the .zip file, you will be left with a set-bluegel.tar file,
unzip the bluegel.tar file and now you should have the following
files:

Images
(directory)
macro.txt
readme.txt
stylesheet.css
templates.html
templates_conf.inc
wrapper.html

Now
goto the admincp on your site and click on Skins & Templates then
on Manage Skin Sets, under Create New Skin Set click on the button
Create new Skin Set
it now creates a new skin set, go in to
edit the skin set, and set the name to BlueGel, the rest of the
settings you can leave for now.

Now click on Manage Board
Wrappers, and at the bottom you will see where you have the option to
browse, click on the browse button and go to where you unzipped the tar
file, and find the wrappers.html file, select that file, then click on
the Create new wrapper button.

Next go to Manage Skin
Templates, and click on the Browse button and select your
templates.html file, then click on Create new Template
Set.
Click on manage skin templates again, and hit edit properties
for the template we just did.
You now have 4 fields to fill out. The
information these fields is in the Templates_conf.inc file.
For the
Bluegel skin you would add the following to the fields.
Template Set
Name: BlueGel
Template set author name: M3NF + AristiA
Template
Set author email: m3nf@hotmail.com
Template set author webpage: http://www.IBFskinned.com ('http://www.IBFskinned.com')

just click on
Edit template set details when your done.

Now lets go to
Manage Style Sheets, and at the bottom click on the Browse button
and select the stylesheet.css file then click on Upload new
stylesheet
Edit the stylesheet name to "BlueGel" as we have
before, and hit Edit Stylesheet at the bottom.

Click on
Manage Macros and down at the bottom hit the Browse button then
select the macro.txt file, and hit import Macro Set, then go in
and edit the macro name to 'BlueGel' then click on the Edit macro
title to save it.

Now the end stretch. :)
hit
Manage Skin Sets, and hit the edit link for the BlueGel skin.

now
in your ftp program go to where your forum is loaded and in the
Style_images directory, create another directory and name it
"2".

now back to the skin set. On this page you will select the
options on the skin.

Skin Set Title: Blue Gel
Use Templates:
Select Blue Gel
Use Macro Set: Select Blue Gel
Use Image Directory:
2
Use Stylesheet: Select BlueGel
Use Wrapper: Select the option
other than the "invision board standard" as you are unable to rename
the wrapper.

the last 2 options are up to you, and they are self
explanatory.

after all done, hit the Edit Skin Set button and
enjoy your new skin.

and remember if your using the portal, to put
that skin_site.php file into the directory; forums/skin/s*
for this
example you would need to create a new directory called " s2 " and put
the skin_site.php into that directory.
