So im going to do a fresh reformat of my pc.
Ive backed up all the files on my desk top
I have a question
if i copy the actuall photoshop files (in the programs directory) and write it to cd, will i be able to copy these files to my soon to be reformated hdd? and still run photoshop with no snags?

its very possible you want be bale to run it because it will look for records in the registry that wont be there. you would need the actal installer again so it puts the records back in it needs.

It'll only probably work if you can figure out how to get the registry entries for that program. And get them saved in some way, then reput them into your machines new registry after the format.

Why not do a backup of the registry?

then you will probably get any spyware etc you had in there before hand ;) its always handy to have a format now and again of it all :D
