safemode

Just
curious really, I know all about safemode so don't use it, its a
poorly implemented hack of PHP because web hosts can't be bothered to
configure apache properly. I was curious however, so I set up a lycos
account and clicked the option under Board Settings>Basic Config enable
safe mode option and imported my skin, got one error message, but sure
enough the skin had imported.

Question is whats all the fuss about?

there m8, never had to run it in safe mode, so i not got a clue why, but
now we know, do listern to ya hosts :P

Well my
safemode on server is on, and i set the safemode setting to yes in the
admincp,

and when i goto import the skin, i get hundreds of
safemode errors.

there must be other settings on the safemode that
don't allow us to import at all and allows you to import.

if
yea want i can show you the phpinfo from my server and you can compare to
yours and maybe we can find out what is different.
