View Full Version : Skinning With Speed ? AjRap2 12-Jan-2003, 03:07 PM Just a general question. Wanting to know how long it takes for most people to make a skin :P AjRap2 12-Jan-2003, 03:13 PM Well I must admit the skin I've been working on has been getting worked on for about 7 days now :hmm: Is that too long ? The_Altered1 12-Jan-2003, 03:18 PM All depends.......some skinning ideas come really fast.....others involve alot of work Personally I take anywhere from 5-10 days......but it all depends on the amount of template editing. normal skinning without template editing.......a few hours :D M3NF 12-Jan-2003, 03:18 PM Well our last skin has taken ages for us both to work on, but hopefullt that shows, its a totally template change for us, and we altered as much as we can, not its bug fixing thats takin the time, as we checking the skin for use in ie6, opera, netscape and on max OSX, and thats what is takin the time, it works fine in ie6 and netscape :) but opera and osx its still showing gaps and miss alignment. So months :o normally thou its takes about a week both on one. Topgunn9 12-Jan-2003, 03:19 PM I only do CSS, Wrapper and Images (Unlike you template people) and I work very intensively. For example a client contacted me Saturday morning at 9:15 AM. I got the details and began work at 9:30 AM. I had emailed the skin and gone to lunch by 1:00 PM that day which is about 3 and a half hours. Its not a race. If you can make what you need in 10 minutes kool. If it takes you a year and you have that time then that is also kool B) LLOYD IBFskinned Mod SpinnaWeb xsivforce 12-Jan-2003, 03:30 PM I would say, time permitting, a good skin takes 2 to 5 days. However, if you are doing other things at the same time, of course it takes a little longer. |
