Does anyone know if there is a convertor available so that I can transfer my database from my PHPbb board to IPB v 2?

Actually, if you were desperate to get it done soon, you could convert to IPB 1.3 with an existing converter, and then upgrade to 2.0 from there.

I wish I had thought of that before would have been easier. However I have put mods on there now and done the skin and I would be worried about messing it all up. Just have to hope it doesnt take too long for them to come up with it!

Sorry, but neither the mods, nor the skins, are transferred across when you convert, whether from phpBB to IPB, or even 1.3 to 2.0. :(

No sorry what I meant is that I have skinned my 2.0.1 already does that mean I will lose this when I transfer across my database from PHPbb board? Ive never done it before so it will be all new to me!

Not at all, all you need to do is export the skin set and image files and re-import them afterward.

Thats great. I am definitely finding IPB much easier to use and skin than PHPbb!

Yeah, it's a much better system, it's just unfortunate about the license changes.

I've always found phpBB a poor board, and a lot of skinner here dislike it because you can't edit the skins in the ACP.

Yes, I've just used the converter myself, and it works a treat. Simple too, much better than going from IPB to phpBB.

Yes I found it really easy as well, just have a small problem with the skin, which apparently is quite common! Do you have a bar missing from the right hand side of your control panel at all, meaning your PM's are slightly cut off?

Not that I've noticed, but I don't have any PM's on which to test. If you could tell me which version of 2.0 you're using, and possibly a screenshot I may be able to tell what's wrong.

I cant seem to find this converter. I really want to use Invision as Module to postnuke but If i can import all info from pnphpbb to invision Im sure I can code a work around to achieve the same effect.

When i return from the movies I'll get working on

1) when a new member is created in postnuke its created in invision
2) when forum button is clicked, user/pass info is placed in an invision cookie, hopefully eliminating a double login.

I tried manually adding a user via the database, using the same hash as in phpbb, this didnt work so I'll have to view the code in the converter and see exactly what tables need to be affected.
