there we can talk more about it in here...

I have a domain NAME with 1&1 and the hosting im using was free with the broadband, and i would like to get hosting from NBS and transfer my domain over.

but when i transfer it, can i close down the 1&1 account and all i pay is the hosting money to NBS?

also, when i get the hosting, will it be a name redirecting to say NBShosting.com/mczone/(a page in here) or *what i want to do* will i be able to go mczone.co.uk/(page in here) and it will work?

NBS are not a domain registrar so cannot hold your domain physically but get the domains "redirected" as such to your hosting space. 1&1 can still hold on to it for you and when the nameservers are changed it will work with mczone.co.uk/whatever.

This means you will still need to pay your yearly fee for the domain via 1&1 and pay NBS for whichever plan you may be purchasing.

Or they can discuss moving to another domain registrar and them handling the domain for you. Im not too sure which would be easier for you.

Hope this helps.

i was emailing M3MF? that right? neway, i was emailing him/her and they said that they do do domain transfer!

so i think that means that it takes it out from 1&1 and into NBS

do you do domain transfer?
if so, much does it cost if any more?

also, if u do it, does that mean i only pay u, or u and 1&1?
also, if only pay u, can i cancel the 1&1 account?

right we can take ownership of your domain name so that there will be just one bill from NBS, but this does cost you the customer more this way. To be honest i would leave the domain at 1&1 and then just repoint the needed details over to NBS servers, allowing your site to run. If you like a full cost to take ownership you would need to goto 1&1 and look at there coststo transfer domain names, you can by a new domain name mczone.com for $7.95 a year thou from us if thats any help.

You must have a webserver that has PHP 4.0.3 (or better) and mySQL 3.22 (or better) installed.

does NBS have this?
