Xbox linkys please.

Ok is getting a Xbox soon, and thought this be the best time to get you lot to help me out. I plan to be using Xbox live, so i can update it all and get addons for it.

So come on post some good links to places, and some good reads on what i can do apart from running snes games on it :P I mean come on, ya get a gaming system to play games that it can handle, not ones ya can play on ya phone hehe.

So whats the best around, what games are worth getting, and where do i need to go :)

well the hottest gameo out now is halo 2 with the online mulitplayer... its dope a F***..basketball game i reocmmend is nba street 2, crazy moves, and ton of excitemenet.. also need for speed 2..the gfx are amazing
by add ons you mean add mod chips and stuff?

but their are a lot of good games to get.. but what genres you like ?

But na its already chipped :P so ok there, just i guess good guns and wheels for it.

All Great Games. You might have a problem playing online with Copied Games, and the Xbox Live costs £40 a year. Have a look for Xbox Connect tho, that uses the internet to connect to other players using the System Link thingy, its great. Case modding is allways fun as well, but that can go toooo far.

Hmm good convo as ive been looking also to add in the xbox and ps2 into our network, may have to look into it.

Can anyone recommend the best way to get the Xbox/PS2 online :)

Buy a switch. Go with Cat 5 Crossover from PC/Mac to Switch then 2 patch cables going from Switch to xbox and PS2

ah yeah i know that lol just do you need to sign up to places to play online or can it be done another way?

What i read with the xbox, is that its built in to the system, install the game and the options is there, you can then just log on as long as you have a account and paid the subsciption MS charge :(

Depends what u want tho, if u used to like ur two player fighting games get mortal kombat as it's the first and only that u can play online. If ur into football get Pro Evoultion Soccer 4 it online too. Roll playing games id go for Fable, its not online but meant to be very good... Halo 2 is good for what it is, respawning figher fights not much skill involved can be fun with mates but can bore quickly imo... Racing erm TOCA is meant to be good and Project Gothem Racing 2....

imo id go for Ghost Recon 2 online co-op, 8 vs 8, massive maps great game play, great graphics, tatical team play. But it depends on what games u like... {edit} just read u like ur shooters :) get Ghost Recon 2 if its the only game u buy u'll spend hours onit, trust me it is truely a great game !

Yeah xbox live is plug and play. You pay ur subs or u can get 2 months free with most new games, or pay somthing like £30/$45 for a year and they give u a headset too... Just put the CD in turn on and ur up and running auto updates and downloadable content its a very good service and well worth the small yearly fee.

Your Xbox is chipped, ok now u have to watch out here, basicaly u've modded ur Xbox to play copied/downloaded games for free, or at least this is how Mico$oft see it. So when ur Live boots up they do checks for modded xbox's and then ban them from online play... :(

Not good i hear u cry ! Well it should be ok speak to the guy ur buying/bought it off make sure its possible to turn the chip off for when u go online tbh it should do unless its a very very old chip. Also if the Hard Drive has been modedyou could have other problems as i've heard but not totaly sure but word is they can now check these. If the hard drive has been modded then let me know and i'll find out how u get round it. It is easy to do so but like i said with modded xbox's u have to take care or ur gonna get banned online. Not sure if i said but any downloaded or copied games wont work online i tihnk ud have guessed that tho...
