Today I learnt something very interesting! for mac users.
If you have a bluetooth capable phone and mac, set up your pairing etc with the bluetooth assistant on the mac, then open your address book. If you dont have a contact in there, add one with a mobile number. click the button labelled 1 in my picture and it will turn blue to indicate it is connected to your phone.
Then click on the mobile number in your address book and a dropdown appears - see number 2 in the picture. Click on "SMS Message" and a box will appear for you to type into, click send when you are ready to send the message.
Address book then uses the bluetooth connection to send the txt via your phone! (it will charge you at your normal txt tariff - or if you get free texts then it will be free).
I spent some time trying to find a program that did this, and as usual my good ol mac already has the function :D Hope this is of use to some of you out there :)
