after a nightmare with the delivery ppl (TNT) :S very disgusted at their service.

Wow 5 weeks on a peecee ick shpit hehe.

So I now got 17"tft and a glorious mac mini which is quiet, cool and ***y. only noisy thing about it is when accessing the superdrive. But that's not much to write home about.

Rather ***y i will say, damn shock just how small they are, like how they get a g4 into one of thou cases. Is very ***y thou, not sure what i want thou, do i get a mini mac or a G4 desktop, i already got a 19inch tft so all i will need is the tower, or should one go with the same mini mac..... Hmmm hard one to know now.

Anyways must get back to work hehe, just come on to see whats new, as still got a few hundreds styles to add to the new database to get them all onto our new system.

Ah the fun ah.

i'll get the mac mini very soon... the only problem is mac cant price it right... its priced at 29,000 indian rupees.. although world wide its available for 21,000 indian rupees.. whereas any athlon pc can be bought fer 13k.... recently, a company launched a pc for 8,500 rupees....

so i guess mac has to get their pricing right.... i can't understand the difference in price even when there is no duty on importing electronic stuff... i guess they need a better leadership in india.

its ok keeping the price high in some poor nation, but in emerging economies like china and india... they need to get their pricing right.... otherwise they'll miss out on lots n lots of profit share

True, their last attempt at a small mac was the g4 cube. they priced that too high. mine was £589 as i got extras in it. if you buy from america, the exchange rate makes the same spec as mine to be alot cheaper. Perhaps they need reps from all the different countries to advice them :)

The UK is more expensive on electrical stuff though. *blames the government* :P

I have finally got my Mac Mini
Have you noticed the display problems and/or audio proiblems with yours that a lot of other mini owners have noticed?

Non from our end, it proven to be a great system to work on, Stella used to have a g4 emac before her mini, which was starting to show its time speed being just a 700mhz, now all is great she says. I was so close to getting one myself a few weeks ago, but have decided now to buy a G5 powermac tower. Been looking at a dual 1.8g system, but as for the mini, no complaints what so ever, runs great on her new 17 tft we got for her, colours are great, crisp and clear. Best investment we made for a while i say.

Well count your blessings :) Apples already confirmed a problem with both issues, but so far no fix. Hopefully soon. It might be a bad power supply as that would cause both issues.
