Fixing the VBX background

We wanted to buy the VBX skin but we noticed that a lot of things on it are washed out. For example, the background. We've posted a side by side example below of IB-X2 background with VBX background so that you could see it for yourself. The VBX background is washed out and even blurry. Our question is this, how hard would it be for us to use the IB-X2 background with the VBX skin? Could we just overwrite the main_bg.gif image?

Yes simply take the file for IB-X2 and save it using the name VBX uses for its background...

Don't suppose you could post the background gif image here or in the Paid Styles forum. I bought two of the vB-VBX styles and I agree it would look better with the darker one. :)

No problem, I too am learning vB, which I also have IPB 1.3 and phpbb 2 so that I may provide tech support for each...

Yes, thank you we saw that. We purchased a skin today and are just waiting for it to be sent to us (hint, hint) and then we'll be able to try out your instructions :) I don't think we'll get any sleep this week learning all the new stuff on the vB ACP :) But that's a good thing ;)

vbx and ibx3 are based on Panther. before that it was simply osx. thus the differences in the skin.
