Well what can i say, Its arrived. My new Mac has made it way home to daddy :)
Yep thats right folks, i writing this on a spanking new G5 PowerMac 1.8g dual processors running at 64 bit, With currently 1.5 gig of ddr 400 ram.
Man does she fly, i was so used to using my baby iBook G3 900 that i just so shock at the differnce. The bluetooth keyboard is a little smaller so typing is a little different, plus the UK layout is a pain :P I like the @ where the " is hehe.
Got to run some tests, its not set up 100% yet, and when i get my Tiger OS I should be all set for fun. I just installed some apps so far, photoshop being one of them, man its fast, load time from like 30 sec on ibook to like 3 seconds. Man i love this baby. Cheers Stu :)
The size is rather huge :) had to make a lot of room to make space for her, but i cleared so much that there now room to swing a kid now :P Not that there getting within 100 foot of my new baby. Ahhh bless them. hehe.
I got to say i dont think i been looking at anything as ***y since my wife :) Thou she does still win over me new baby.
I put my airport in now, and the upgraded memory so she runs so sweet. Cant think i out do here for a while now...... Well...... new G5 2.5g :] could be nice (ducks).
Anyways off to install more apps.

Well i ended up last night putting my Tiger beta on her, DAMN she flys even more, i soooooo cant wait till i get final tiger. Its really like what Mr Jobs says "And BOOOOOOOOM" and it here. I did a serach for "nbsdesignz" with in a second i had hundreds of items showing (sonic boom) it was all there. Damn this is soooooo different from my iBook. Its like a new lease of life on a computer. I used PC 64 bit systems AMD and well sorry just no comparison there, the Power Mac just kicks **** so much.
I serious hate to see what the dual 2.5 can do, its got to be to fast. I not had the spinning ball of death once, and i not even added full memory yet. Every application is like a second and its open. Just no waiting no more. I even thought ok lets really test this baby, Did a file transfer from extrenal HD to spare one, around 50 gig size. Then had every application opened on the computer and tested the spot light on tiger, and it was still like BOOM :P Damn its just so amazing. I never thought i would be this shocked at a speed of a computer, but it ust like owning a farrari. There just no real words to explain the shear looks and speeds of her.
I'm in love with 2 now :P

Okay I will look...
For now I seem to have a stable overclock for an AMD 64 2800+ 1.8ghz model..
New multiplier is 8x265 = 2.12 Ghz.
I know its not much but anything higher reverts back to a lower setting.
Or maybe something for both that computes scores...
laters,
:icon13: Here is a pc pitshop quick look at my system...
That is one thing I have noticed, is that not many programs to run mac test to show performace testing...
