I Hate Safemode

only does safemode on keep you from importing a skin for the board, but
if you create a skin, you can't export it either.

to think I
finally completed my first skin, and I can't export the darn thing.

Well I feel well and truly sorry for you. How I do it is run IIS
(It comes with windows 2k and XP) and install PHP and SQL on IIS.
Alternatively download PHP Triad which has them all. You can install it
and not only use it REALLY quickly but there is no Safe Mode and you can
export. If you can find a skin with Safe Mode off you could copy your
images into the FTP and then copy the CSS over through AdminCP's and
then export. I guess that is the only way to salvage your
work.

well I
can't export the entire thing, but am able to export each piece of
it.

guess I will have to install php, mysql on my pc, and work on
skins there.

if you want i
know its long winded, is if you send me the files, and ccs i can import
them into our test server and export from there. We don't have ftp
allow on our server thou, for personal reasons, but your welcome we can
set up and site for you if you want to and just email the items for us to
put in place for you. and you run the forum and make the skin, and when ya
done export it from there,

if you
use windows may i recommend foxserv, its more up to date than
phptriad(which is a nice piece of software) comes with the windows version
of apache, PHP, mySQL lots of extras all in one nice easy install http://www.foxserv.net ('http://www.foxserv.net') . Or drop windows install
linux and its all there anyways :D


In addition if you want a forum to skin on let me know I got
plenty of non-safemode space doing nothing(except hosting my test forums,
used for support and skinning purpose) until January ;) and if you don't
laugh at the state of my root folder your welcome to use some, ftp etc

downloading foxserv now, should have the skin up later today, depending
on whether the kids behave and don't kill each other.

wow,
that foxserv installed in a breeze, it automatically setup everything,


just had to copy over the invision board files, goto
localhost/forums/sm_install.php and bam all done.

manually
imported my skin there then was able to export it normally.

will be
sending the skin to M3nf to look over and test to make sure no huge errors
where made then will be available for those who like purple.
hehe
