Well, i know that we aint had much time to see this, but since we got the new database, alot less pplz have been registering because they dont NEED to, to get their skins, now this sickens me really, pplz just coming for the freebies, but i suppose thats how its gna go, i know it will get a "higher quality" of member joing the forum for the community, rather than joing because they have to, to get the skins(no offence to any1) but i still think pplz should stop by to say hello, and thx for the skin(s). just my view

I think it's much better to have an open database for people to freely download what is advertised as "free" don't you? ;)) After all, by requiring people to join your forum in order to download you are in effect asking a price, the price of bumping your forum membership, which is sad really since it's not a true reflection of the community size but just another manipulation to look more popular or important than another. That said, I'm glad the site owners have changed their policy to be more in line with IPS, where you are also allowed to download the forum software without registering. :D

I love that now, when we see people online, it means its people who are here to chat (or get support) Our figures will go down but we get a more true figure on community quantity. I don't think that it is minipulating, as this was showing how many come to get our skins. you're right if your looking at a forum's figures being purely for community. But they still stand true to consider the amount of people who wish to come here.

It all depends on the way you look at it. Those who come just for the skins can be considered free loaders, its like making someone a cup of tea and them taking it without a thankyou. Manners cost nothing in this world, yet so many disregard them :(

That said, its so nice to be handing out the bread to a flock of pigeons!

Hmmmm. I am going along with mark, at the end of the day yes you can look at it that way that the community forum figure will reflect on the true community, but come on, the work that go into the site, the database, and my god the skins, they do desurve some credit, But no instead you get people removeing copyrights and adding there name to the skin saying they made it, IT SICKENS ME :P

Why dont they they make one themself, why ? cos they cant or just to lazy, well i would be feeling bad now, i been brought up with saying thank you, so where the harm in forceing people to join to get something they want, its our way of making them learn manners :P
