Awesome! My settings are back!
One thing though... it's yelling at me that the files are not properly chmodded... which I know they are.
Is this normal? Like a precautionary thing, or is it actually thinking that the files all have the wrong permission settings on them?

Gah! Can't edit my post. Found this too, when going to the root.Warning: main(): Failed opening '' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/user/public_html/common.php on line 211Line 210 to 212 is: {
include($nbs->setting['forum_does_not_exist_url']);
exit;
}

Yeah, I'm gonna hold a conversation with myself here this morning.
I'm getting inclusion errors all over the place with this script... not so much in the admin section itself, but in the new forums that are set up. Something really does not like the handler.php file.
I tried editing the php.ini file to include the directory (because with phpSuExec you can't put php commands into an htaccess), and it trimmed it down a little bit, but I am still receiving them instead of the new forum.Warning: main(admin/): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/user/public_html/handler.php on line 89

Warning: main(): Failed opening 'admin/' for inclusion (include_path=''.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/home/user/public_html:/home/user/public_html/nbs'') in /home/user/public_html/handler.php on line 89

Please post here, for some reason the usergroup settings got messed up and it was allowing everyone to reply to the announcement. Sorry about that.

Any idea on the include_path thing I'm experiencing?

I need FTP and Admin access to look at your settings and stuff, I'm not having this problem on my dev side. Once you PM me with that info I can take a look for you.

I have installed it and I haven't gotten any error's yet. Also, this may seem stupid but what exactly do the phrases do?

Hi,

Ive just installed this and everything went fine, but when I goto http://mysite.com/myscriptdirectory/nbs/admin.php I get the following Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "login.tpl" in /home/xxxx/xxxxx/myscriptdirectory/nbs/smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1093

Any ideas as to what may be causing this?

The phrases allow people to easily translate it from English to any language they want. Basically, I don't hard code them in the files so you can easily change them to say what ever you want...

When I try to enter the admin cp for a board I get this error:
Configuration: Unable to fetch config file. Make sure /nbs/nbs_config.php exists.

I checked it, and it does infact exist.

There is a fix to that somewhere here.

Does your server support .htaccess files and mod_rewrite?

biglake
01-Sep-2006, 11:21 PM
yes, i've used other php scripts with those and they've worked fine.....

umm, i just checked via ftp and it looks like it was created in the root folder....

first forum "test" is here "htmlfiles/test" instead of "htmlfiles/phpbb/test"

I must have a setting wrong then????

You probably have the FTP Path setting set incorrectly. Please reply back (or PM me if you don't want to post it here) with the FTP Path setting value and I'll tell you if theres anything wrong with it.

Thanks,
Derek

What happens, do you get database errors when creating a new forum or something?

Stefajo
12-Sep-2006, 09:05 PM
Yes, it sais, that there is no table for the potal mod... It is because there is no table prefix... Why?

Derek

Can you provide me with a URL, so I can try making a forum and see?

Thanks,

I haven't finished the pages in the AdminCP to add new languages, but you can do so by going to the nbs_languages table in the database, and insert a new row for your language. Then after that, you edit every phrase in the AdminCP and on the page to edit them, there is a spot that says YOUR LANGUAGE Translation, put the translation into that textarea, and save it. You can change the language that is used for the script in the AdminCP Under the settings section.
