What on earth have we done!!
Within three decades humans have destroyed over a third of the natural world. As we speak the rate of destruction is accelerating despite the honorable and appreciated efforts of scientists,conservationists and environmentalists. Even more alarming is the prediction of human extinction. Through the thoughtless actions of habitat degradation, human-induced climate change, pollution, exploitation and the introduction of non-native species, to feed our power and greed driven survival instincts, we have made the rich richer the poor poorer and ironically assured our own extinction.It doesn't appear that there will be a next generation to fix this problem.
The world was created perfectly balanced and like everything else mankind is only just realising the importance of this balance when it is too late. The disappearance of one species apparently has an impact on an estimated 18 to 30 other species. Bees to the unscientific mind could be thought of as quite insignificant yet if our pollinating bees were to disappear from our world it would have a devastating effect on agriculture and plant life. I know that this topic screams alarmist but i care for this planet and i care about the people that live on it . As if the threat of war, disease, violence and poverty (to name a few) were not enough but to be faced with this as well could be too much to bear for some.
If you care too but feel hopeless, then I can only give you my hope and that is in Jesus Christ. There will be an extinction of ruiness and rebellious mankind but there will be a resurrection for those that hoped in Jehovah God through Jesus for a better life. A perfect life that pursues peace and happiness through obedience to our creator who with out a doubt knows best.
